Jeannette Reid, Ph.D.

Dr. Reid is a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland, and is authorized by the PSYPACT Commission to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology to individuals in participating locations. She earned her doctorate from Fordham University after receiving specialized training through WellSpan Philhaven CBT – Behavioral Health at the Meadowlands (York, PA), Terry Children’s Psychiatric Center (New Castle, DE), Columbia University Medical Center (Manhattan, NY), Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy (Manhattan, NY), and Fordham University Anxiety Disorders Clinic (Bronx, NY). Dr. Reid has an extensive research background (including 17 publications on obsessive-compulsive and related disorders), and has given invited lectures on a range of topics (including obsessive-compulsive disorder, tic disorders, pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndromes, and perinatal mental health). Her doctoral dissertation found support for a novel explanatory model for obsessive-compulsive disorder. In her clinical work, Dr. Reid has utilized empirically-supported treatments (such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)) to assist approximately 800 patients to date. While Dr. Reid has experience working with a wide array of mental health concerns, she specializes in 1) the assessment and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (with or without a Tourettic or PANS/PANDAS component), anxiety disorders, tic disorders, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) – and 2) the assessment and management of conditions related to neurodiversity (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD)) and pathological personality traits. In addition to providing individual therapy across the lifespan, Dr. Reid is Program Lead for Behavior Therapy Center’s current group therapy offerings: 1) Adult ADHD Group Therapy and 2) Adult BFRB Program. Finally, Dr. Reid is Co-Director of Training and Behavior Therapy Center’s individual supervisor for doctoral externs.
