Dr. Kevin C. Young offers comprehensive psychodiagnostic and psycheducational testing services for children, adolescents, and adults between 6 and 89 years of age. His approach to testing emphasizes quality over quantity. In service of quality assessment, Dr. Young limits the number of individuals he works with at any given time, enabling him to deliver services promptly and to minimize delay for those seeking testing.
Frequent reasons for referral include (but are not limited to):
Diagnosis of emotional and behavioral concerns
Diagnosis of specific learning disorders
Academic achievement assessment
Gifted and talented (G&T) testing
Accommodations for “High Stakes” testing (e.g., SAT, GRE, MCAT, etc.)
The comprehensiveness of the evaluation is determined by the complexity of the referral question(s), and Dr. Young will tailor the assessment battery to fit each individual’s unique needs. All assessment services include an initial interview, a personalized written report, which contains targeted recommendations, and a feedback session with Dr. Young to review the results of the evaluation and address any questions or concerns. Services also typically involve a review of available records and consultation with relevant parties, such as teachers, parents, spouses, and/or other providers.
If you are interested in scheduling testing, or if you might wish to learn more about the testing services offered, please feel free to contact Dr. Young directly at 301-593-4040 (Ext. 242). He will return your call within 24 to 48 hours.
