Michael A. Lent, Ph.D.
Dr. Lent received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Hofstra University, having completed his predoctoral internship at Johns Hopkins University Counseling Center. After a year of postdoctoral fellowship at the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington, Dr. Lent now continues his clinical work as a staff psychologist. Dr. Lent is particularly interested in the application of exposure-based therapies for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. His specialized training in exposure outside of the BTC has included work at the Northwell Health OCD Center and at Hofstra University's Phobia and Trauma Clinic. In addition to exposure, Dr. Lent makes use of theory and technique from other Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies and from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in order to treat a wide variety of concerns. Dr. Lent also has considerable experience providing anger management therapy.
